The U12 A & B Teams were under the watch of Martin Bennett, Jackie Gallagher, Dessie O’Donnell, James Dorrian and Thomas Boyle. The teams competed well in the Southern Board League, and also competed in the Newry Mitchells Tournament and our own Mick Herron Tournament where they performed very well against strong opposition.

The U12 Parish League Finals were held in early November.  Darragh O’Donnells Team won the Shield play-off by 3-3 to 1-8 over Robbie Adairs team. The Shield Final was then won by Ronan Whytes team over Darragh O’Donnells team on a 4-6 to 2-1 scoreline. In the Cup Final a great match saw Eoghan Harkins team win with a point in the last minute to come through on a 2-3 to 2-2 scoreline over Joe Gallaghers team. After the match the Kevin Mc Gill Memorial Cup was presented by Frankie Mc Gill to the winning Captain. Thanks to everyone who helped out on the night with refreshments and to Martin Mc Shane who refereed the matches. A thanks also to the U12 Coaches who put in such a big effort during the year with the team, Martin Bennett, Jackie Gallagher, James Dorrian, Thomas Boyle, Paddy Gallagher, Matthew Malley and Dessie O’Donnell.

In July they took part in the annual Mick Herron Memorial Tournament which is hosted by the Club every year with six teams competing: St Sylvesters from Dublin, Grange from Sligo, St Eunans, McCumhaills and our neighbours Naomh Columba taking part. This year the standard was quite high with Naomh Columba and St Sylvesters competing in the Final.  And what a Final which saw some great football played by the two Teams with St Sylvesters winning by a point.  Thanks must go to the Herron family especially Sean Herron, son of Patsy who continues to keep the Tournament a success.  Also to all the teams who took part as well as the ladies in the Kitchen who provided refreshments on the day and to Larry Snacks for their kind Sponsorship.

They also participated in the Sean Ward Memorial Tournament which was held as part of the Mary from Dungloe. Ronan Whyte represented the Club in the County Skills U12 Competition and got third place in the County. Joe Gallagher Crumlin represented the Club on the Donegal U12 Team in the Ulster Activity Day in Croke Park.

Thanks to all the parents who helped out during the year.
